Our valued professional services client is seeking a Senior SharePoint Consultant (10+ years) to overhaul and optimize internal SharePoint architecture using metadata, document libraries, and AI Agent deployment

Join an impactful modernization project aiming to transform a cloud-based SharePoint environment into a structured, AI-ready knowledge hub. This role focuses on implementing metadata tagging, optimizing libraries, and aligning design and usability across sites. The consultant will directly drive improved search efficiency and user adoption of new AI Agent capabilities. This contract offers high technical ownership with potential for extension based on project milestones.

Initial 3-month part-time contract with strong possibility of extension. 100% remote in EST timezone. Expected effort of 20-24 hours per week.

Responsibilities

• Redesign and structure internal SharePoint data architecture
• Implement comprehensive metadata tagging and taxonomy across libraries
• Deploy and configure Agents in SharePoint to enhance document search capability
• Collaborate with internal stakeholders to align design and functionality with business requirements
• Standardize homepage layouts and ensure consistent site usability
• Support AI integration by optimizing structured data for query and summarization performance

Must Haves

• Expert in SharePoint Online architecture and data structuring across multiple sites
• Strong background in metadata taxonomy, tagging standards, and document library optimization
• Demonstrated experience implementing and optimizing search functionality and workflows.
• Proven ability to enhance user experience and design aligned to organizational branding
• Post-secondary education in Computer Science or a related field

Nice to Have

• Experience implementing AI Agents or related Copilot Studio functionality within SharePoint
• Exposure to departmental SharePoint customization strategies
• Experience applying standardized permissions inheritance models
• Valid Government of Canada Secret Clearance
