Our valued public sector client is hiring a Senior ServiceNow Technical Advisor to lead the implementation of the ServiceNow IT Operations Management solutions.


Background:


Our client is seeking a Senior ServiceNow ITOM Implementation Lead to guide the planning, adoption, and phased deployment of the ServiceNow IT Operations Management (ITOM) Discovery module across a large and complex IT infrastructure. This role is critical to modernizing and automating IT asset visibility, improving CMDB data accuracy, and enabling data-driven decision-making across the organization. The consultant will play a key role in establishing governance, driving stakeholder engagement, and ensuring secure, compliant integration of discovery and configuration management processes.


Tasks:


  • Establish and support an ITOM governance framework, including roles, responsibilities, and decision-making structures.
  • Develop and maintain a phased implementation roadmap aligned with organizational priorities and compliance requirements.
  • Coordinate the deployment of MID Servers and credential management strategies across enterprise infrastructure.
  • Oversee automated discovery schedules for servers, network devices, and other key assets.
  • Support the design and implementation of a standardized CMDB aligned with the Common Service Data Model (CSDM).
  • Integrate authoritative data sources (e.g., Active Directory, MECM) and support reconciliation processes to ensure data quality and completeness.
  • Lead stakeholder engagement and training, including train-the-trainer initiatives to build internal capability.
  • Define and implement KPIs and dashboards to enhance operational visibility and executive reporting.
  • Provide regular progress updates, risk assessments, and recommendations for process improvement.
  • Ensure all discovery and integration activities comply with security and authorization standards and support related documentation efforts.


Must Haves:


  • ServiceNow Certified Technical Architect (CTA) certification
  • ServiceNow Certified Implementation Specialist - Discovery certification
