Our client is seeking a Senior Security Engineer to design, implement, and manage cloud security controls using AWS, Zscaler, Proofpoint, and CrowdStrike in the transportation industry

This role requires you to be onsite in SE Calgary office 5 days/week working core business hours of 8-5pm

Must Haves

• 7+ years of experience in information security engineering with hands-on cloud security using AWS, Zscaler (ZIA/ZPA), Proofpoint, and CrowdStrike
• Advanced knowledge of AWS security technologies and best practices including cloud architecture and access controls
• Strong scripting experience with Python, PowerShell, or Bash for automation and security integrations
• In-depth understanding of network protocols, firewalls, VPNs, and proxy appliances
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or Information Security, or equivalent experience

Nice to Have

• Cloud security certifications such as AWS Certified Security, Azure Security Engineer, or GCP Professional Security Engineer
• Professional security certifications (CISSP, CEH, GIAC)
• Experience with SOAR or SIEM platforms (Splunk, Sentinel)
• Familiarity with Azure or GCP cloud security controls
• Background in regulated or enterprise environments

Responsibilities

• Design and implement cloud security controls and best practices across AWS
• Administer and optimize Zscaler Internet and Private Access environments
• Manage Proofpoint configurations for email security, DLP, and threat intelligence
• Deploy and maintain CrowdStrike Falcon modules for endpoint protection and EDR
• Perform security incident analysis and coordinate remediation
• Develop automation scripts and integrations supporting multi-cloud security
• Conduct security reviews and risk assessments for hybrid infrastructure
