Our valued crown corporation client is seeking a Senior Security Architect to deliver security solutions design based on business, operational, technical and security requirement!

2-year contract in Ottawa, ON (4 days hybrid on-site minimum per month). 7.5 hours per day, Monday to Friday.

Responsibilities:

• Lead the delivery of the security solution design based on business, operational, technical and security requirements, as well as IT strategies
• Assess the technology solutions for compliance to company directives and standards
• Work with partners and project teams to mitigate cyber risks
• Apply a threat modeling approach to cyber security risk measurement and reporting
• Research and monitor technology developments and industry trends; assess their applicability, functionality and reliability and recommend technologies that will enhance productivity and the achievement of the client’s business objectives
• Work with financial systems experts to establish guidance around compliancy to the industry cyber security standards
• Contribute to the development of the overall Cyber Security Solution Architecture processes, tools, standards and templates

Must-Have-Skills:

• 5+ years’ experience in Cyber Security and developing security solutions architecture, securing a Microsoft Azure environment with many AI tools on the landscape such as AI Foundry, Fabric, Github Copilot, Databricks
• 5+ years' experience working in a cyber assessment program (Threat Risk Assessment, and Security Assessment and Authorization)
• Experience in the development and application of security policies and security technical standards
• Experience with different architecture and design techniques (e.g., object-oriented, top-down, structured analysis and component-based design).
• Demonstrated experience in the development and application of security policies and security technical standards

Nice-to-Have Skills

• Demonstrated knowledge of Canadian Financial Market Infrastructures
• Demonstrated knowledge of Cyber Security assessment frameworks such as:
• NIST 800.53
• ISO 27001 and 27002
• Demonstrated ability to work with an enterprise architecture framework and group
• Demonstrated knowledge of principles and best practices in software architecture and architectural/design patterns and frameworks
• Demonstrated experience and knowledge to recommend threat detection tools to counteract evolving risks in the AI space.
• Demonstrated experience working with SAP
