Description
Our valued defence client is seeking a Senior Technical Architect for an initial contract until March 31, 2025.
As the successful candidate you will support the modernization of the Naval Training System (NTS) through digital integration, enhancing the existing ecosystem for naval training with a cutting-edge software package, including improvements to the supporting hardware on a local level as necessary for full functionality. The project is looking at leveraging Artificial Intelligence (AI) and Deep Automation (DA) into its solutions.

As the successful candidate you will support the modernization of the Naval Training System (NTS) through digital integration, enhancing the existing ecosystem for naval training with a cutting-edge software package, including improvements to the supporting hardware on a local level as necessary for full functionality. The project is looking at leveraging Artificial Intelligence (AI) and Deep Automation (DA) into its solutions.
Responsibilities
- Define the overall structure of a particular implementation technology and ensure the technical integrity and consistency of the solution;
- Develop technical architectures, frameworks and strategies, either for an organization or for a major application area, to meet the business and application requirements;
- Identify policies and requirements that drive out a particular solution;
- Analyze and evaluate alternative technology solutions to meet business problems;
- Ensure the integration of all aspects of technology solutions;
- Evaluate hardware and software relative to their ability to support specified requirements and by determining potential and actual bottlenecks, improve system performance through recommended hardware and/or software changes;
- Review computer software systems and data requirements as well as communication and response needs and determine operating systems and languages needed to support them;
- Monitor industry trends to ensure that solutions fit with government and industry directions for technology;
- Provide information, direction and support for emerging technologies;
- Perform impact analysis of technology changes;
- Provide support to applications and/or technical support teams in the proper application of existing infrastructure;
- Review application and program design or technical infrastructure design to ensure adherence to standards and to recommend performance improvements;
- Brief technical details to Management;
- Support the development of a system solution, including the execution and delivery of that solution into production;
- Review requirements and provide support for the deployment of immersive training technologies (AR, VR, Gamification, etc.) through the project’s solution;
- Be responsible for system design to ensure that the target applications in the technical architecture will meet non-functional requirements; and
- 10+ years as a Technical Architect
- 4+ years experience architecting technical solutions that leverage virtualization strategies in a classified (i.e. Secret, Top Secret) network environment.
- Active GoC Secret Clearance
Nice-to-have:
- Experience with machine learning, artificial intelligence, and deep learning/deep automation including the development, testing and validation of novel ML techniques tailored to specific applications
- Experience providing business architecture support to a project in a Secret or Top Secret environment.
