Senior Regulatory Business Consultant
Contract duration: 1 year
If Hybrid, What are the onsite days? Tuesday and 2nd Friday of each month
Office Location: 81 Bay 30th Floor
Work Schedule (hours per week, start time): 37.5 Hours/week, 9-5 Monday to Friday

What does the LOB do?: We conduct comprehensive end-to-end mapping of all critical operations across the enterprise. This includes identifying potential vulnerabilities-whether related to internal processes, third-party relationships, suppliers, or personnel. We also factor in emerging risks and upcoming regulatory changes. While our work falls under the cyber umbrella, our perspective is enterprise-wide, offering a strategic, bird’s-eye view.
Subject matter experts (SMEs) are engaged to validate the technical details, ensuring accuracy and relevance. Importantly, we do not require individuals to have deep technical expertise to contribute meaningfully to this process.
What project will this contractor be working on? Day to day activities to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements (specifically E21 - OSFI) to ensure testing of critical operations enterprise-wide.
- Working through the design phase, testing exercise, post-exercise debrief, presentation to executive audiences, and creating action items for the relevant findings.
Job Description:
The Scenario Exercise Consultant will support the development, execution, and continuous improvement of scenario exercises within The Bank’s Operational Resilience Program. This position is responsible for designing, coordinating, and tracking scenario exercises that test the bank’s ability to respond to business disruptions. The consultant works closely with internal teams and stakeholders to ensure exercises are well-structured, outcomes are accurately documented, and findings are synthesized into actionable recommendations.
Must Have Requirement:
• Ability to analyze and synthesize detailed information into concise reports for a senior audience.
• 5+ years of experience in a similar field either within or consulting firm or risk
• Strong skills in plain language writing and design. Convert technical terms into basic language.
• Ability to present information so it is easy to understand, use, and remember.
-Effective layout and design when using PowerPoint
• Strong consulting skills to understand stakeholder needs.
• Advanced PowerPoint skills
-Communication and presentation skills
• Intermediate proficiency in Excel for tracking, analyzing, and reporting on exercise outcomes and project progress.
- Basic formula Vlookup
Nice to Have:
• Previous experience in Financial Institutions (Capital Markets, Retail Market, Wealth & Investment) - preference of Big 5 Banks
• Knowledge of Business Continuity Management/Operational Resilience.
• CBCP/DRI certification (ABCP, CBCP, AMBCI).
• Comfort level of some technology or systems but not required
• College/ University
