Senior SAP BASIS Consultant to support Mock Runs, Dress Rehearsals, and Cutover activities for a major SAP program.

We are seeking an experienced SAP BASIS Consultant to support Mock Runs, Dress Rehearsals, and Cutover activities for a major SAP program. The consultant will be responsible for all standard BASIS operations, system monitoring, transport management, system refreshes, and hands-on cutover execution. This role is critical to ensuring system stability, coordination across technical teams, and a successful go-live.

Project Scope

This is an S/4HANA technical upgrade project (v2021 to v2025), we need a strong resource to quickly become familiar with the environment/documentation/test scripts/etc to be able to execute unit testing, system integration testing, help guide the client in user acceptance testing, identify and execute cutover steps, issue identification/recommendation/resolution, support hypercare

Duration - 5 months with a possibilty of extension

Work Mode - 100% Remote

Responsibilities

Execute standard SAP BASIS operations, including:

• Monitoring system logs, short dumps, performance issues, and errors
• Proactive system health checks and troubleshooting

Manage SAP transport management across landscapes during Mock, DR, and Cutover phases

Perform and support system copies, system refreshes, and client copies

Provide interface and batch job support, including:

• Shutdown and startup of interfaces and batch jobs during cutover windows
• Validation and post-cutover reconciliation

Execute pre- and post-upgrade tasks as part of Mock Runs, Dress Rehearsals, and Cutover

Actively support the entire technical and functional team during Dress Rehearsal and Cutover events

Coordinate closely with functional, development, infrastructure, and integration teams to ensure cutover readiness

Document activities, issues, resolutions, and lessons learned

Must Haves

Strong hands-on experience as an SAP BASIS Consultant

Proven experience supporting Mock Runs, Dress Rehearsals, and Cutover activities

Solid knowledge of:

• SAP system monitoring and troubleshooting
• Transport management
• System/client copies and refreshes
• Interface and batch job management

Experience supporting upgrade or migration projects (ECC to S/4HANA or similar preferred)

Ability to work under pressure during critical cutover windows

Strong communication and coordination skills
