Our valued public sector client requires the services of a Senior Bilingual Quality Assurance Specialist (10+ years) to support automated and manual testing of in-house development projects and a commercial off-the-shelf software implementation.

Opportunity is 100% remote.

Description:

The client is undertaking a multi-year initiative to modernize IT systems to support planning, collaboration and content management for two of its research units. Additionally, they have initiated a collaborative R&D program to support the Canadian construction sector in increasing productivity and housing supply through digitalization.

They are looking for a senior tester with excellent oral and written communication skills to contribute to QA and related activities across two or three sub-projects within the major IT Modernization and Digitalization initiatives. This will include a mix of automated and manual testing of in-house development and a commercial off-the-shelf software implementation. The ideal candidate would bring a willingness to learn about new IT systems and how they can support the Canadian construction sector, as well as versatility to contribute to other project activities (in addition to QA) with a relatively small project team, such as writing user stories and providing input during planning and design sessions.

Systems include:

• Microsoft Power Platform and Azure
• Component Content Management System (XML)
• Using DevOps for Boards, Repos, Pipelines, testing

Must haves:

• Bilingualism (French/English)
• Enhanced Reliability clearance (or higher)
• 10+ years experience in the development/execution of test plans, test cases (functional, regression, integration and user acceptance testing)
• 6+ years experience testing in a Microsoft Dynamics CRM/SharePoint (online or on premise) environment
• 4+ projects in the Federal Government
• 3+ years experience testing internal content management systems (CMS)
• 3+ years experience documenting training materials

Nice to haves:

• Test lead experience
• Experience testing XML systems

Responsibilities:

• Automated and manual testing of in-house development and a commercial off-the-shelf software implementation
• Collaborate with the Business Analyst and Project Manager to develop an overall test strategy based on the deployment plan.
• Analyze requirements and acceptance criteria, and provide advice on approach and estimated effort for testing.
• Develop test plans for prototypes, Minimum Viable Product deployments, integrations, etc.
• Develop, execute and document (manual) test cases, using tools such as DevOps
