Senior QA Analyst to support testing activities for ongoing integrations with Azure-based solutions for a not-for-profit client!

Our valued not-for-profit client is implementing a new cloud platform to integrate core business and hospital systems, including SAP, with Azure-based solutions.

They are looking for a Senior QA Analyst to support testing activities for ongoing integrations. This role will begin with manual and regression testing, with the expectation of the successful candidate leading the team towards an automated testing framework to improve efficiency and reliability.

Initial 6-month contract, with the possibility of renewal. 8 hours per day, Monday to Friday. 100% Remote (candidates with the ability to work on-site in Brampton or Ottawa, ON are preferred)

Key Responsibilities:

Test Planning & Execution

• Review and analyze business and technical requirements to ensure testability.
• Develop and maintain a requirements traceability matrix for full coverage.
• Design, execute, and document test cases for new integrations across on-prem and cloud systems.
• Conduct regression testing for each new hospital/system onboarding to validate existing functionality.

Integration & API Testing

• Test Azure Functions, Logic Apps, and Data Factory pipelines to ensure accurate workflows and data movement.
• Validate REST APIs for correctness, security, and performance.
• Perform end-to-end integration testing across cloud and on-prem environments.

Automation (Future Roadmap)

• Contribute to the team’s transition from manual to automated testing.
• Build automated regression suites (initially using Katalon Studio) for APIs and workflows.
• Integrate automated tests into Azure DevOps pipelines or GitHub Actions for CI/CD.

Collaboration & Support

• Work closely with developers, business analysts, and stakeholders to ensure high-quality solutions.
• Support defect triage, logging, and resolution.
• Provide feedback and recommendations to improve testability, reliability, and coverage.

Must-Have Skills:

• 3+ years of QA experience, with a focus on integration, API, or data pipeline testing.
• Familiarity with Azure cloud services such as Data Factory, Logic Apps, and Functions.
• Demonstrated experience implementing automation tools and frameworks for testing
• Experience testing RESTful APIs (tools such as Postman, SoapUI, or Katalon).
• Strong background in manual and regression testing with requirements traceability.
• Experience working in Agile delivery models (Scrum/Kanban).

Nice to have:

• Test automation experience in Python or C# (PyTest, NUnit, REST Assured, etc.).
• Experience integrating automated tests into Azure DevOps pipelines.
• Familiarity with Azure Application Insights, Log Analytics, or Monitor for debugging and validation.
• Exposure to SAP or other ERP/healthcare system integrations.
• Azure Certifications (e.g., Microsoft Certified: Azure Fundamentals, Azure Developer Associate).
