Description
Position Title: CAN - IT - Software Engineer IV
Duration: 1 year
Work Location:
- Remote, Onsite, or Hybrid: hybrid, currently 2 days on site, 4 days on-site come January
- Anchor Days (if applicable): Tuesday, second day is flexible
- Address: 320 Front Street West Insurance, Toronto, Ontario
Scope of Project: supporting multiple projects
Preferred Candidate Background: cybersecurity background/experience, banking or large organization is preferred
RESPONSIBILITIES:
This team implements automated solutions for cybersecurity business processes to mitigate risk and improve efficiency and reduce cost.
60-70% coding, unit testing, designing
10-20% supporting other teams applications
Some administrative work
MUST-HAVE Hard Skills:
1.) 8+ years of experience within python based development and programming
2.) Experience within application architecture design (software)
3.) Experience with Linux operating systems, networking (protocols)
NICE-TO-HAVE
1.) Project Management experience
2.) Agile development methodologies
3.) Prior Cybersecurity experience
4.) Prior banking or financial institution experience
Degree/Certifications Required: University degree - Computer Science or Engineering degree is preferred
