Senior Project Manager to lead network data, voice infrastructure and security projects for our transportation client

Location: Mississauga

Start Date: As soon as possible

Length of term: 6 months with possibility of extension

Work schedule: 37.5 hours/week

Work mode: Hybrid (Remote work and in-office presence 3 days/week subject to company policy. Travel may be required)

The Senior Project Manager will lead project teams and assume day-to-day planning, management and control of medium projects or small programs, network DATA, Voice infrastructure, and security, including the selection of methodologies, techniques and tools which are appropriate to the project(s). The coordinator is accountable for ensuring the successful completion of all phases of the project(s) to implementation, including responsibility for staffing, scheduling, and monitoring.

Responsibilities and Tasks

• Define and produce deliverables that support business goals
• Plan, execute, and finalize IT projects according to strict deadlines and within budget, using appropriate tools
• Estimate and acquire resources and coordinate the efforts of team members and third-party contractors or consultants in order to deliver projects according to plan
• Oversee quality control throughout its life cycle
• Effectively communicate project expectations to team members and stakeholders in a timely and clear fashion
• Analyze results, troubleshoot problem areas, and bring solutions
• Successful and unsuccessful project elements
• Develop best practices and tools for project execution and management
• Develop and deliver progress reports, proposals, requirements documentation, and presentations
• Proactively manage changes in project scope, identify potential crises, and devise contingency plans
• Coach, mentor, motivate, and supervise project team members and contractors and influence them to take positive action and accountability for their assigned work
• Perform other duties as required by the immediate supervisor and for which the person is qualified

Must Haves

• 10+ years of experience as a Project Manager
• Strong familiarity with project management software, such as MS Project
• Competent and proficient understanding of platforms such as MS Azure and Office 365
• Solid working knowledge of current Internet and Networking technologies
• Vendor Management experience
• Infrastructure experience
• Transition and transformation program experience
• Having worked in a PMO
• Technical tools/ skills: Microsoft Projects, Devops, JIRA

Nice to have

• Bilingual English/French (written and spoken)
• PMP Certification
• Leading Infrastructure projects - Specific related to Networking
• Any experience with network, cyber would be highly preferred
