Senior Project Manager to lead a Hardware Currency (VX rail and Cohesity) upgrade project with one of our major banking clients- 40281

Location: Toronto- Hybrid: 2 days in-office (will increase to 4 days in future)

Contract Duration: ASAP to Oct 31, 2026 - approx. 5 months (Good Chance of Extension)

Schedule Hours: 9am-5pm Monday-Friday; standard 37.5 hrs/week

Story Behind the Need

Business group: Enterprise Delivery Office

Project: PM to support Hardware currency - VX rail and Cohesity - in initial phases, coming in at planning and through to execution for the full 2-year contract term

Typical Day in Role:

• Develop, track and manage project budget, project plans, timelines and scope

• Manage project resources including procuring project staff, developing, motivating, coaching and advising

• Partner closely with other members of functional teams to define business requirements

• Lead teams of developers in the delivery of high-quality software solutions that meet business needs

• Define test plans and ensure that products are defect free before User Acceptance Testing

• Facilitate the User Acceptance Testing process, developing rollout plans and procedures

• Prepare and present cost-benefit analyses

• Ensure appropriate systems development and project management processes are being utilized

• Make presentations to steering committees or project sponsors

• Communicating with project team and vendors

Must have skills:

• 10+ years of experience as an IT Project / Program Manager, with some experience preferably in a large FI

• Experience with infrastructure, upgrades, hardware currency, vendor management and application migration management

• Experience with large migration projects in large organizations

Nice to have:

• Experience with DellVXRail and/or VMWare servers

• Experience with Cohesity

• Recent Experience with Top 5 Banks is an asset

Education:

• Bachelor's degree in a technical field such as Computer Science, Computer Engineering or related field required.

• PMP Certification is nice to have

The ideal candidate will be an experienced IT Project/ Program manager with previous experience managing large-scale hardware currency projects with hands-on DellVXRail and/or Cohesity experience at a major FI
