Senior Project Manager- Process Optimization Business Re-engineering (Fully Onsite)

Contract: 6 months (up to 12 months)

FULLY ON-SITE (5 days a week) in York Mills


Must Haves:

  • 5+ years in retail or regulated industries (banking, telecom, health care, public sector).
  • Delivering complex projects that include a minimum of two of the following workstreams:
  • Process optimization, process re-engineering, process mapping, re-engineering, operating model impacts
  • People & Organizational Change: training, communications, readiness, adoption (understanding of it)
  • Data & Reporting: data migration, data quality, reporting/dashboarding


Responsibilities:

Define & Plan:

  • Apply established project management tools, governance frameworks, and organizational processes to support effective decision-making.
  • Establish clear stakeholder ownership and accountability for decisions and deliverables.
  • Develop and present options including risks, impacts, and trade-offs, against clear and agreed-upon decision criteria to support informed stakeholder decisions.
  • Support the formal project kick-off meeting by engaging key stakeholders to align on the scope, objectives, and governance.
  • Facilitate the process for the Project Sponsor to complete any required business case/procurement documentation so the project can receive the necessary approvals on spend and execution.
  • Provide leadership on the development of project requirements and solution options, including root cause analysis, to gather accurate forecasts on effort, timelines, and complexity.
  • Develop the integrated project roadmap by defining workstreams and outlining key milestones/tasks for the project team.

Launch & Execute:

  • Delegate tasks to the appropriate workstreams to ensure activities are completed on schedule.
  • Facilitate regular project meetings, stand-ups or touchpoints to provide status updates, monitor progress against key milestones, and identify RAID items requiring action or escalation.
  • Lead project steering committee meetings to manage escalations with executive sponsors and drive necessary corrective actions.
  • Provide leadership in aligning and bridging delivery processes between Technology and the Business.
  • Oversee the end-to-end launch of initiatives by leading teams through deployment, inclusive of working with Change Management Teams.
  • Manage vendors (if applicable) ensuring adherence to scope, timelines and quality commitments; oversee and facilitate change requests as needed.
  • Manage and coordinate all pilot activities.
  • Addresses conflicts and project tensions directly, facilitating constructive discussions that focus on ideas, data, and outcomes rather than individuals.
  • Encourage healthy debate to surface risks, alternatives, and improvements while maintaining strong working relationships.
