Senior Project Manager (AD, IAM & Tier 0 Identity Security)

Location: Brampton, ON (3-4 days per week onsite)

Duration: Contract initially runs until December 31st (with Holiday Furlough)

Our client is seeking a Senior Project Manager to lead critical Active Directory (AD) migration to the cloud and Tier 0 identity security initiatives. These programs are high priority, have aggressive timelines, and were identified as material risk areas through external audit and internal review.

This role requires a steady, experienced PM who can step into complex, in-flight initiatives, quickly assess current state, and drive execution across security, infrastructure, and SRE teams without disruption.

Key Initiatives

• Active Directory migration to the cloud, driven by a firm timeline to exit on-prem data centers (target: end of Q2)
• Tier 0 identity and privileged access initiatives, initially focused on a limited application scope with planned expansion
• Security remediation work aligned to:
• Data center exit activities
• Firewall rules and environment segmentation
• Secure environments for SRE teams
• Programs owned primarily within Security, with close coordination across AD, SRE, and infrastructure teams

Key Responsibilities

• Lead and manage the AD cloud migration and Tier 0 security initiatives
• Rapidly assess and document current-state architecture, risks, timelines, and dependencies
• Establish and maintain detailed project plans, milestones, and delivery schedules
• Identify, manage, and mitigate delivery, security, and operational risks
• Coordinate closely with Active Directory, SRE, and Security teams
• Drive execution against tight deadlines while maintaining security and operational stability
• Provide clear, concise status reporting to senior stakeholders

Step in mid-stream as needed to stabilize delivery and maintain momentum.

Must-Have Skills & Experience

• 8+ years of Project Management experience in complex enterprise environments
• Strong background in Active Directory, IAM, and identity-related programs
• Proven experience managing Active Directory migrations
• Experience with data center exits, cloud migrations, or hybrid environments
• Demonstrated ability to step into active projects and regain control quickly
• Strong risk management, stakeholder communication, and decision-making skills
• Ability to remain calm under pressure in high-visibility, high-risk initiatives

Nice to Have

• Experience leading Tier 0, privileged access, or identity security modernization programs
• Background working with security-driven audit remediation initiatives
• Experience supporting multi-year identity or infrastructure transformation programs
