Senior Product Owner to focus on Data Science & AI/ML-driven capabilities within the Merchant Promotions Data Platform.

Our client is Canada's largest retailer. They are looking for a Senior Product Owner to focus on Data Science & AI/ML-driven capabilities within the Merchant Promotions Data Platform.

This role required a technically savvy product leader who can translate complex technical requirements and ensure successful model production and integration into merchant-facing applications.

Duration: Until December 2026, to start

Location: Brampton - 3-4 days/week onsite

Key Responsibilities:

• Own the product roadmap for Advanced Analytics within the Merchant Promotions platform
• Lead end-to-end production of ML models from experimentation to deployment
• Translate data science outputs into clear, scalable product features
• Define model requirements including scoring logic, optimization frameworks, and data inputs
• Establish measurement frameworks and KPIs to evaluate model performance and business impact
• Partner closely with Data Scientists on model development and iteration
• Collaborate with Engineering to ensure seamless integration into the merchant UI and backend systems
• Align with business stakeholders to translate marketing objectives into analytical solutions
• Communicate complex technical concepts clearly to non-technical audiences
• Drive continuous improvement of analytics capabilities and recommendation quality

Must Have Skills:

• 7+ Years as a Technical Product Owner/Product Owner
• Experience launching data products (ideally data-driven applications)
• Direct experience working with AI/ML teams, strong understanding of ML lifecycle (development, validation, deployment, monitoring)
• Experience productionizing models into live applications
