Senior PowerBuilder, Oracle developer required to modernize existing PowerBuilder, Oracle, UNIX system. (196692)

Our GTA based, Municipal Government client reuires the services of a Senior PowerBuilder, Oracle developer modernize existing PowerBuilder, Oracle, UNIX system.

ROLE:

• Provides extensive expertise to the Client's replacement project, including mapping existing processes to the new application and identifying required core functionality and reporting needs. Utilizes Unix, MicroFocus COBOL, and Oracle stored procedures to support system integration and development activities.
• Designs and implements solutions and enhancements for the Client's applications, leveraging PowerBuilder and Oracle stored procedures to deliver reliable, efficient, and scalable system performance.
• Implements detailed plans and recommends policies and procedures based on program-specific requirements.
• Leads, facilitates, and contributes to the design, development, and sustainment of corporate standards for the division, including formalized project management
• methodologies, data-warehousing architecture, data modeling, metadata management, change management, and application development and migration practices.
• Provides project budget management, including sole-source requests, contract negotiations, business cases, feasibility assessments, and cost-benefit analyses.
• Recommends and implements security, privacy, and quality-assurance requirements consistent with the Municipal Freedom of Information and Protection

of Privacy Act (MFIPPA), as well as corporate and legislative standards for the storage, processing, and retention of confidential data.

• Assesses and recommends scalable, multi-jurisdictional business and technical solutions that meet client and organizational requirements, in alignment with
• corporate standards, policies, and information-technology architectures.

MUST HAVE:

Considerable experience with Unix/Linux environments, including command-line operations and shell scripting.

Extensive experience developing applications using PowerBuilder.

Extensive experience working with Oracle 19c, including DDL, DML, functions, procedures, and triggers.

Extensive experience in PL/SQL programming.

Considerable experience using Harvest Source Change Management software.

Considerable experience with PowerGen.

Extensive experience with MicroFocus COBOL.
