Okta Services Architect

We are currently looking for an Okta Services Architect to join a high performing Architecture and Delivery team supporting enterprise scale IAM initiatives. In this role, you will act as a technical authority leading the design and implementation of Identity and Access Management solutions using Okta. You will work closely with customers, stakeholders, and delivery teams to translate business requirements into scalable and secure identity strategies while ensuring successful deployments and long term value realization.

Location: Remote within Canada (EST working hours required)

Employment Type: Contract through December 2026 with potential extension

What You Will Do:

• Lead discovery sessions to gather business, functional, and technical requirements
• Design and architect enterprise IAM solutions using Okta
• Translate customer requirements into scalable and secure identity architectures
• Provide technical leadership around Statements of Work, solution scope, and delivery approach
• Develop IAM strategies, standards, and governance frameworks
• Collaborate with Sales and Professional Services teams on solutioning and pre sales activities
• Guide delivery teams through implementation and architectural alignment
• Conduct architecture reviews, customer health checks, and optimization initiatives
• Define interoperability best practices across IAM and enterprise systems
• Build strong relationships with technical and business stakeholders, including senior leadership

Required Qualifications:

• Okta Certified Architect or Okta Consultant Certification
• 8+ years of experience in IT, solution architecture, or software development
• 4+ years of experience in IAM architecture and design
• 5+ years of consulting experience supporting enterprise customers
• Strong experience designing and implementing Okta based solutions
• Deep understanding of IAM concepts including SSO, MFA, RBAC, OAuth, OpenID Connect, LDAP, and Active Directory
• Experience with cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or GCP
• Proven ability to lead discovery workshops and define technical solutions
• Strong communication and stakeholder management skills

Nice to Have:

• Experience with Ping, SailPoint, Saviynt, or Microsoft Identity
• Knowledge of security architecture, cryptography, and Zero Trust principles
• Experience with distributed systems and application architecture
• Programming experience in Java, Python, .NET, Ruby, or similar
• Familiarity with DevOps tools and version control systems
• CISSP, TOGAF, or related certifications
