Senior Mainframe Developer

We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Mainframe & Integration Engineer with deep expertise in COBOL, DB2, and JCL, alongside experience in modern integration and automation tools. The ideal candidate will support and enhance batch and online systems, contribute to modernization initiatives, and work across both mainframe and distributed environments.

• Design, develop, and maintain COBOL-based batch and online applications using DB2 and IMS databases on z/OS.
• Write and optimize JCL scripts for batch processing and job scheduling.
• Develop and maintain SQL queries and stored procedures for DB2 on z/OS.
• Utilize TSO/ISPF for mainframe development and troubleshooting.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate legacy systems with modern APIs using z/OS Connect and Apigee.
• Support ETL processes using IBM DataStage and contribute to data integration initiatives.
• Leverage GitHub, GitHub Copilot, and Visual Studio Code for version control and collaborative development.
• Utilize tools such as IBM IDz, DbVisualizer, SQLDeveloper, and z/OS monitoring tools like zHelios.
• Document processes and solutions using Confluence and manage incidents and requests via ServiceNow.
• Explore and apply AI tools to enhance development and operational efficiency.

• Strong experience with COBOL (Batch and IMS/DB2), JCL, and z/OS DB2/SQL.
• Proficiency with TSO/ISPF and mainframe development environments.
• Solid understanding of mainframe job control and database interaction.

• Experience with C programming, Python, and Unix server environments.
• Familiarity with z/OS Connect, Apigee, and API integration.
• Knowledge of IBM DataStage ETL tools and related data integration platforms.
• Exposure to AI tools and automation platforms like Ansible.
