S.i. Systems client is looking for a Senior Jira Consultant to assess, redesign, and optimize their Jira ecosystem by aligning configuration, workflows, reporting, and automation with modern software delivery best practices

6 months to start, strong possibilities of extensions. Remote (pst hours)

This position requires the candidate eligible for enhanced reliability clearance (Have to be in Canada for the last 5 years)

Must Haves:

• 7+ years of directly related experience working with Jira tools, including leading at least one enterprise-level Jira transformation or optimization engagement
• Deep expertise in Jira configuration, including workflows, issue types, permission schemes, project structures, and automation rules
• Experience assessing and redesigning how work is structured in Jira (epics, stories, tasks, issues) to support both project management and product development teams
• Experience implementing and optimizing Jira dashboards and business intelligence/reporting capabilities to provide meaningful visibility into project and portfolio health
• Experience evaluating and implementing Jira add-ons/plugins to enhance functionality and scalability
• Strong understanding of modern software delivery practices (Agile, Scrum, Kanban, DevOps) and how tooling supports effective SDLC execution
• Experience leading stakeholder workshops, gathering requirements, documenting findings, and delivering recommendations with a clear future-state roadmap
• Experience developing governance models and best practices for Jira administration across multiple user groups
• Ability to define and implement scalable ticket management structures, automation strategies, and reporting frameworks
• Excellent communication skills with experience engaging both technical and business stakeholders

Nice to Haves:

• Experience integrating Jira with adjacent tools (e.g., Confluence, Bitbucket, CI/CD tools, BI platforms)
• Experience working in complex, multi-team environments with varied Jira user personas (e.g., PMO, product, engineering, operations)
