Senior JavaScript (Node/Express) Developer to support a Fraud Prevention Project with one of our major banking clients- 40160

Contract Duration: ASAP- October 31, 2026 (High chance of Extension)

Location: Hybrid/Toronto- expectation is 3x per week in-office; recommended Tues/Thurs, but flexible

Schedule Hours: Standard business hours 8:30am - 5pm, 37.5 hours per week

Project: First party fraud prevention - minimize and prevent fraud, audit customers

Role Responsibilities / Typical Day in Role:

• Champions a customer focused culture to deepen client relationships and leverage broader Bank relationships, systems and knowledge

• Leads development activities as the senior member of the development team, planning and executing to meet project objectives and milestones

• Writes well-designed, testable, efficient code by using best software development practices

• Gathers and refine specifications and requirements based on technical needs

• Creates and maintains software documentation

• Collaborate with the team to plan milestones, successfully execute software delivery, and escalate issues as needed

Candidate Requirements/Must Have Skills:

• 8-10+ years of experience with NodeJS

• 8-10+ years of experience with Express

• 8-10+ years of experience with JavaScript

Nice-To-Have Skills:

• 3-5+ years of experience with MongoDB

• 3-5+ years of experience with React

• 3-5+ years of experience with Google Cloud Platform and Kubernetes

Educational Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree in technical field e.g. computer engineering, computer science, or similar

Best VS. Average Candidate:

This is a senior role - the ideal candidate will be able to contribute to team with minimal supervision, take on leading role, technical discussions, solutioning, and must have strong technical knowledge. Resume should not only outline the skillsets listed but speak to the experiences in current and previous roles on how that technical skill / experience was applied.

Interview Process:

• 1st Round - At home codility / programing test to submit, candidate to complete within 3-4 days

• 2nd Round - 1.5 hour technical interview, in-person - team members (Eng and Dev)

• 3rd Round - 30 min chat w/ HM
