Our large, enterprise client is seeking a Senior IT Contract Specialist to manage, assess, and monitor performance of Public sector technology contracts.


This is an initial 9-month contract with a possibility of extension.. The successful candidate may follow a remote working model within Central Time.


Must-Haves:

  • 10+ years' IT Contract Management experience, including developing and managing technology contracts (goods and services)
  • 5+ years' experience writing procurement and contract artefacts for technology goods and services (preparing RFX documents)
  • IT category experience, including software, hardware, Cloud services and IT consulting
  • Experience with the end-to-end sourcing lifecycle and category management principles
  • Completion of a recognized degree or diploma in an IT related discipline or an equivalent combination of education, certification and experience.


Nice-to-Haves:

  • Supply Chain certification, such as APICS/SCMP
  • Experience managing technology contracts in a Public Sector organization


Responsibilities Overview:

  • Provide guidance during the development of procurement artefacts for technology goods and services.
  • Conduct quality review of procurement artefacts for technology goods and services.
  • Working closely with IT stakeholders, assist in the development of procurement artefacts for technology goods and services.
  • Provide contact negotiation consultation to IT contract managers.
  • Conduct review and assessment of existing IT contracts (goods & services) and provide recommendations as appropriate.
  • Consult, analyze and evaluate existing IT contracts, and document contractual requirements for new contracts and renewals.
  • Identify contract lifecycle, including schedule, renewal, expirations.
  • Develop (and track) contract (procurement) status.
  • Communicate effectively verbally and in writing with stakeholders.
  • Interpret, apply and explain rules, regulations, policies and procedures.
  • Maintain, monitor, and record information in database/repository utilized for IT contracts.
