Description
Our large, enterprise client is seeking a Senior IT Contract Specialist to manage, assess, and monitor performance of Public sector technology contracts.
This is an initial 9-month contract with a possibility of extension.. The successful candidate may follow a remote working model within Central Time.
Must-Haves:
- 10+ years' IT Contract Management experience, including developing and managing technology contracts (goods and services)
- 5+ years' experience writing procurement and contract artefacts for technology goods and services (preparing RFX documents)
- IT category experience, including software, hardware, Cloud services and IT consulting
- Experience with the end-to-end sourcing lifecycle and category management principles
- Completion of a recognized degree or diploma in an IT related discipline or an equivalent combination of education, certification and experience.
Nice-to-Haves:
- Supply Chain certification, such as APICS/SCMP
- Experience managing technology contracts in a Public Sector organization
Responsibilities Overview:
- Provide guidance during the development of procurement artefacts for technology goods and services.
- Conduct quality review of procurement artefacts for technology goods and services.
- Working closely with IT stakeholders, assist in the development of procurement artefacts for technology goods and services.
- Provide contact negotiation consultation to IT contract managers.
- Conduct review and assessment of existing IT contracts (goods & services) and provide recommendations as appropriate.
- Consult, analyze and evaluate existing IT contracts, and document contractual requirements for new contracts and renewals.
- Identify contract lifecycle, including schedule, renewal, expirations.
- Develop (and track) contract (procurement) status.
- Communicate effectively verbally and in writing with stakeholders.
- Interpret, apply and explain rules, regulations, policies and procedures.
- Maintain, monitor, and record information in database/repository utilized for IT contracts.
