Position Overview

We are seeking a Senior IP Network Expert to join our Montréal-based team. This role requires a highly experienced professional with strong IP networking expertise and experience in cloud-based security technologies, particularly firewalling. This position is ideal for someone who is hands-on, team-oriented, humble, and willing to contribute at all levels, from architecture and design to operational and administrative tasks. Our network environment is unique: it is not an off-the-shelf solution. It has been internally built and integrated over time. The right candidate must be open-minded and willing to learn and understand this custom architecture before proposing improvements.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide senior-level expertise in IP network architecture and operations
• Design, maintain, and optimize IP network infrastructure
• Support cloud-based networking and firewall/security technologies
• Analyze and understand a custom-built network environment
• Contribute ideas and improvements while respecting existing architecture
• Perform hands-on operational and administrative tasks as needed
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure reliability, security, and performance

Must-Haves

• 10 years of experience in IP networking (senior-level experience)
• Strong understanding of core networking principles (routing, switching, TCP/IP fundamentals)
• Experience with cloud-based networking technologies
• Experience with firewalling and network security solutions
• Ability and willingness to perform both high-level and hands-on technical work
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
• Bilingual (French/English)

Nice-to-Haves

• Experience working in highly customized or internally built network environments
• Experience contributing to network architecture evolution or transformation initiatives
• Exposure to hybrid or cloud-integrated network infrastructure
