S.i. Systems client is looking for an Senior/Intermediate Procurement Specialist to manage a portfolio of contracts
15 month contract to start. 3 days/week onsite in Richmond, BC. 37.5 hours/week.
Must Haves:
- 6-10 years’ experience in direct purchasing of goods or services
- SCMA Accreditation or equivalent designation and/or a Business Degree or equivalent, e.g., Business Administration, Supply Chain, Business Operations
- Experience developing bid documents (RFP/RFIQ/ITT, etc.)
- Minimum of 6 years’ experience in Supply Chain
- Ability to negotiate complex contracts
- Working knowledge of legal issues as they relate to the procurement of goods and services
- Create bid/tenders for a public entity
Nice to haves:
- Experience in the service side - Building Operations
- Procurement experience in the public sector
Responsibilities:
- Managing a portfolio of contracts ensuring timely sourcing or renewal;
- Developing procurement strategies, conduct bidding processes, and negotiating contracts;
- Preparing and reviewing bid documents and contracts with clients and the legal department;
- Analyzing contracts for potential problems and opportunities;
- Assisting with ad-hoc projects; and
- Advising junior staff as the subject matter expert on day-to-day purchasing functions.
