Our client is seeking a Senior Infrastructure Architect/Implementer with expertise in Azure Local (Azure Stack HCI) to design and implement enterprise infrastructure solutions across multiple data centres (Hybrid, Edmonton AB).

Overview:

This role will support a large-scale capital program focused on infrastructure and application modernization. The successful candidate will lead the architecture, design, and implementation of an Azure Local (Azure Stack HCI) environment spanning multiple data centres across Canada and the US, while ensuring alignment with enterprise standards, performance, and security requirements.

Must-Haves:

• 7-10 years of experience in IT infrastructure, including hands-on architecture and implementation
• Expertise in Microsoft Azure Local (Azure Stack HCI) architecture, design, and implementation
• Strong experience with Microsoft Azure Cloud architecture, design, and implementation
• Proven experience designing and deploying enterprise infrastructure solutions across multiple environments/data centres
• Experience operating as a Solution/System Architect or SME on infrastructure projects
• Strong understanding of infrastructure security, business continuity, and risk mitigation frameworks

Nice-to-Haves:

• Experience with Citrix App and Desktop Virtualization
• Strong scripting skills (PowerShell)
• Experience with virtual desktop environments and migrations
• Post-secondary education in IT, Computer Science, or related field
• Strong communication skills with the ability to translate technical concepts to business stakeholders

Responsibilities:

• Design and architect Azure Local (Azure Stack HCI) solutions for enterprise environments across multiple data centres
• Lead the implementation and deployment of Azure Local infrastructure in alignment with business and technical requirements
• Provide input into infrastructure roadmaps, standards, and long-term strategic direction
• Ensure infrastructure solutions meet performance, reliability, and scalability targets
• Develop and maintain infrastructure support processes, ensuring compliance with policies and regulatory requirements
• Support operational effectiveness through continuous improvement of infrastructure delivery and support models
• Collaborate with stakeholders to ensure alignment between infrastructure capabilities and business needs
