JOB TITLE: Senior Project Manager - Work Management GDS

LOCATION: London or North York, ON

HYBRID: onsite Mon/Tues/Thurs; remote Wed/Fri

TRAVEL: 5 days per month within Ontario and the US


*Generally, travel is Mon to Wed or Mon to Thursday (Ohio, Utah, or North Carolina)

The Senior Project Manager - Work Management GDS is responsible for leading complex, cross functional initiatives that enable organizational change, operational efficiency, and strategic business outcomes. This role translates business work management priorities into actionable plans and drives disciplined project execution from initiation through sustainment.

The Project Manager oversees all phases of the project lifecycle-ensuring clear scope definition, robust planning, effective risk mitigation, and transparent communication. They develop and manage integrated project plans, schedules, financial forecasts, and resource requirements to ensure initiatives are delivered on time, on budget, and aligned with work management priorities with a strong focus on value realization.

Working closely with change management specialists, the Project Manager ensures business readiness by aligning process, system, and organizational impacts with adoption plans. They champion consistent planning practices, promote informed decision making, and advance sustainable ways of working across the project and business teams.


Responsibilities

• Participate in any / all phases of project management (initiation, planning, execution, monitoring and closeout), ensuring key project management components are addressed (e.g. scope definition, cost/benefit analysis, communications plan, risk log, sustainment plan, etc.)

• Translate strategic objectives into executable project plans aligned with work management priorities

• Manage the project plan, schedules, financial forecasts and resource plans

• Proactively identify, assess and mitigate risk, issues and dependencies

• Drive outcomes that are value focused, measurable and aligned with governance and business goals

• Develop dependency/overlapping roadmap and timelines

• Provide transparent, concise reports for leadership - IE status of progress, interdependencies, risks, and mitigation plans.

• Works closely with change specialist regarding business readiness to ensure the business is ready to receive the changes - driving adoption as systems and process are implemented in a sustainable manner

• Champion disciplined planning and data driven decision making


MUST HAVES:

• Expert knowledge of project management, OCM, communications, training, reporting and sustainment methods and practices Related University degree and 15 plus years of experience or equivalent mix of formal education and experience.

• Demonstrated big picture thinking including ability to make timely decisions and deliver results

• Proven analytical and problem-solving skills

• Experience with change management initiatives and the ability to influence others.

• Excellent interpersonal skills including building consensus, negotiation, and facilitation

• Excellent Microsoft & internet office skills required (SharePoint, MS Project PowerPoint, Excel, Word).


Working Conditions:

• Travel 5 days per month within Ontario and the US

• Hybrid model: working onsite Mon/Tues/Thurs; working remote Wed/Fri
