Top 3 Must-Have Skills:

  1. Github Actions - CI/CD understanding of day-to-day deployments, including managing Git source code. Taking projects all the way to production (coordinating production deployments).
  2. Kubernetes - Experience with cloud deployments (GCP preferred, but open to AWS or Azure).
  3. Linux migration onto Redhat - This team supports middle tier legacy systems (many of which are Linux applications).

**This individual will need to be available for outside working hours, for bi-weekly production deployments (rotational schedule)**


The DevOps Specialist will support and enhance release automation and deployment capabilities across a portfolio of enterprise applications. This includes managing source control (Git), automated build and packaging (Jenkins), deployment and test execution, and provisioning of cloud-based environments (primarily Linux-based). The role is responsible for building, maintaining, and optimizing CI/CD pipelines while ensuring compliance with internal policies and regulatory standards.


The ideal candidate brings strong hands-on development experience, a solid understanding of configuration management and deployment automation best practices, and the ability to work both independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.


Responsibilities

• Design, implement, and maintain CI/CD pipelines and release automation processes

• Coordinate and execute deployments from development through to production

• Manage and support cloud-based environments and infrastructure

• Troubleshoot deployment and environment issues, supporting development teams as needed

• Maintain system stability and uptime, including scheduling and managing jobs in Jenkins

• Work with modern DevOps tools including GitHub, Jira, Confluence, Artifactory, Kubernetes, Puppet, Ansible, and cloud platforms

• Support containerization, microservices architecture, and deployment orchestration

• Ensure high availability of applications and systems (24/7 support environment)

• Contribute to continuous improvement of DevOps processes, tools, and best practices


Qualifications

• 6-7+ years of experience in DevOps, release engineering, or related roles

• Strong understanding of CI/CD pipelines, automation, and deployment practices

• Experience with cloud platforms (AWS, GCP, or Azure)

• Proficiency with Git-based source control and CI tools such as Jenkins

• Experience with containerization technologies (Docker, Kubernetes)

• Familiarity with infrastructure as code tools (e.g., Terraform) is an asset

• Solid understanding of software development lifecycle and Agile methodologies

• Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills


Nice to Have

• Experience working in highly regulated environments (e.g., financial services)

• Exposure to Linux-based systems and migration projects
