Senior DevOps Engineer required to architect, implement, and maintain scalable DevOps pipelines supporting PHP/Laravel applications across cloud and hybrid

Our GTA based, Municipal Government client requires the services of a Senior DevOps Engineer to architect, implement, and maintain scalable DevOps pipelines supporting PHP/Laravel applications across cloud and hybrid environments.

ROLE:

• Lead container orchestration using Docker Swarm and Docker Compose, ensuring high availability and fault tolerance.

• Manage Linux and Windows-based infrastructure, including provisioning, monitoring, patching, and performance tuning.

• Design and maintain CI/CD pipelines using Jenkins and GitHub Actions, integrating automated testing, deployment, and rollback strategies.

• Develop and maintain shell scripts and PowerShell utilities to support automation, monitoring, and configuration management.

• Provide Tier 2/3 operational support, including incident response, root cause analysis, and resolution of infrastructure and deployment issues.

• Collaborate with development and operations teams to streamline workflows and enforce DevOps best practices.

• Document operational models, workflows, and dashboards using Smartsheet and Teams.

• Participate in cross-functional planning, retrospectives, and continuous improvement efforts.

MUST HAVE:

10+ years of experience in DevOps, infrastructure automation, and Linux/Windows systems administration.

Proven expertise with Jenkins, GitHub, Docker Swarm, Docker Compose, and container lifecycle management.

Strong experience with PHP and Laravel in production environments.

Proficiency in shell scripting and PowerShell for automation and system tasks.

Familiarity with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, or GCP) and infrastructure-as-code tools (e.g., Terraform, Ansible).

Experience with monitoring and logging tools (e.g., Prometheus, Grafana, ELK stack).

Demonstrated troubleshooting skills across application, infrastructure, and network layers.

Strong operational support background, including incident management and performance optimization.
