Senior DevOps Engineer - administer / maintain tools, cloud migration, server setup, banking industry

We are seeking a hands-on Senior DevOps Engineer with strong enterprise-level experience to support a banking client in. This is a critical role requiring a highly technical professional who is comfortable working directly with stakeholders - including boardroom-level engagements - while also being deeply involved in day-to-day DevOps operations.

Location: 4 days on site in Markham

Duration: 1 year

• Engage with executive and technical stakeholders, including boardroom meetings and high-level discussions.
• Administer, maintain, and troubleshoot enterprise DevOps tools and platforms.
• Perform hands-on setup, configuration, and optimization of server environments.
• Maintain and upgrade tools such as Java, Grac, Confluence, and Artifact Factory.
• Support cloud migration initiatives and optimize hybrid infrastructure.
• Ensure licensing compliance and cost optimization for DevOps tools.
• Maintain and support a SaaS-based backbone infrastructure.
• Respond swiftly to tool failures, ensuring minimal disruption to development pipelines.
• Contribute to a secure and fraud-aware development environment, following strict compliance and audit standards.

• Strong hands-on experience with enterprise DevOps tools and CI/CD pipelines.
• Proficiency with Java-based tooling, Confluence, Artifact Factory, and access governance tools (e.g., Grac).
• Experience setting up and maintaining server environments.
• Familiarity with cloud migration strategies and hybrid cloud models.
• Moving to a complete SaaS environment.
• Licensing management and optimization best practices.

• 8+ years in a DevOps or related infrastructure role, in banking or finance.
• Experience in high-compliance environments with strict fraud prevention protocols.
