Senior Developer – Dynamics 365 Finance & Operations to support, enhance, and optimize core Finance & Operations processes.

We are seeking an experienced Technical Developer specializing in Microsoft Dynamics 365 Finance & Operations (D365 F&O) to support, enhance, and optimize core Finance & Operations processes. The ideal candidate will demonstrate deep technical expertise across D365 modules and a strong ability to troubleshoot, resolve, and prevent recurring system issues within a large, complex retail environment.

Location: Calgary, but will accept remote candidates

Duration: 6 months plus extension

Work Mode : Can be remote

Must Haves

• Experience working with Microsoft Dynamics 365 Finance & Operations (or AX).
• Deep technical knowledge of F&O modules including GL, AP, AR, and Financial Reporting.
• Strong understanding of system architecture, integrations, and data flow within a large enterprise environment.
• Proven ability to analyze, troubleshoot, and resolve system issues efficiently.

Nice to Have

• Microsoft certifications in Dynamics 365 Finance & Operations are an asset.

Responsibilities:

• Provide technical support and perform administrative-level activities within Dynamics 365 Finance & Operations.
• Demonstrate solid knowledge of core F&O concepts and processes, including Enterprise Structures, General Ledger (GL), Accounts Payable (AP), Accounts Receivable (AR), and Reporting.
• Identify, analyze, and correct system issues, including data corrections and system configuration adjustments, collaborating with end users and IT teams as required.
• Troubleshoot and resolve functional and technical issues, ensuring all resolutions are clearly documented.
• Support and maintain system integrations with other enterprise applications and external systems.
• Recommend and implement process or system improvements to prevent recurring issues and enhance overall system stability.
• Partner with business and technical stakeholders to ensure system changes align with operational goals and compliance standards.
