Description
Our client is Canada's largest retailer. They are looking for a Senior Data Engineer to join the Retail Media Platform team. This team is responsible for building an AdTech platform that enables internal and external partners to create, manage, and report on media campaigns across various channels.
Duration: 6 Months, to start
Location: Toronto (1 day/week onsite)
Project: Design and build scalable data pipelines and analytics solutions that power dashboards and insights into campaign performance, helping stakeholders uncover opportunities and drive data-informed decisions.
Responsibilities:
- Design, build, and maintain scalable data pipelines to support reporting and analytics for media campaign performance
- Collaborate with stakeholders to understand data needs and deliver actionable solutions
- Build and maintain robust data models and semantic layers
- Automate reporting pipelines and improve data accessibility across the organization
- Implement data validation and testing strategies to ensure data quality and integrity
- Optimize queries and data processing performance across the pipeline
- Support cross-functional teams including Product, Marketing, Merchandising, and Operations with analytics needs
Must Have Skills:
- Strong programming skills in Python, Scala, and SQL
- Hands-on experience with Airflow, DBT, and Spark
- Strong experience with Google Cloud Platform (GCP)
- BigQuery for data warehousing and analytics
- Dataproc for data processing
Nice to Haves:
- Java Programming
- Advertising or Digital Marketing experience
