Description
Our large, enterprise client is seeking a Senior Data Developer to develop ETL data pipelines and support the migration to Azure data warehouses and data lakes.
Initial 6-month contract with a possibility of extension.
Must-Haves:
- 3+ years of professional experience in designing, developing, and maintaining data pipelines in Databricks
- 3+ years of experience in designing, developing and deploying business intelligence solutions and reports using Microsoft Power BI
- 5+ years' Microsoft Azure development experience
- Experience working with DevOps pipelines continuous integration/delivery, and automated testing (unit, functional, performance)
- Minimum 3 years of demonstrated experience using Databricks, Pyspark and Python
- Expert coding skills in Python, SQL and knowledge of software engineering principles around testing, code reviews, and deployment
Nice-to-Haves:
- Experience in data modeling and data transformation technologies such as dbt
- Database architecture, design, implementation, and operations experience
- Experience with GitHub Copilot for development
- Experience in Investment Management, Banking, or Finance industry
