Senior Data Analyst with strong SQL, BigQuery, GCP, and data modeling experience to curate data models to feed into enterprise customer data platforms

Our client is Canada's largest retailer, who currently has an opening in the Analytics team to hire a Sr. Data Analyst with strong SQL, BigQuery, GCP, and data modeling experience to curate data models to feed into customer data platforms for Marketing, Analytics and other use cases.

Location: Toronto (Bathurst and Lakeshore) - 1x per month; remote ; must be in Toronto or GTA

Start Date: ASAP

Duration: Until end of December 2026, with possibility of extension, strong preference for candidates open to extension

Key Responsibilities

• Build and maintain scalable, reusable data models in BigQuery
• Transform raw data into high-quality datasets for use across the business
• Collaborate with stakeholders to understand data needs and deliver usable solutions
• Write clean, efficient SQL and contribute to code
• Oversee data pipelines in Apache Airflow to feed business logic to data engineering team to actualize into production

Must Haves:

• Strong SQL skills, experience working in Big Query
• Experience working in GCP
• Experience working in Marketing Analytics
• Good communication skills, ability to articulate requirements to technical and non-technical audiences, collaborate with non-technical stakeholders and teams

Nice to Have:

• Exposure with Apache Airflow, not expected to write code in Airflow but will oversee a lot of data pipelines through Airflow
• Python - Ability to read code
