Senior Business Systems Analyst (BSA) with strong understanding of end-to-end data flows to support complex initiatives within Retail Payments and Business Banking

Location: Toronto (Hybrid, 2x/week)

Role Overview

We are seeking a Senior Business Systems Analyst (BSA) to support complex initiatives within Retail Payments and Business Banking. This role operates in a highly integrated, multi-system banking environment and requires a strong understanding of end-to-end data flows, system impacts, and integration points.

This is not a task-based BA role - we are looking for a true analyst and problem-solver who can think critically, challenge assumptions, and proactively identify impacts across systems.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead requirements elicitation with business and technology stakeholders
• Analyze and document end-to-end data flows and system interactions
• Translate business requirements into detailed functional and system requirements
• Identify upstream/downstream impacts and integration dependencies
• Support solution design discussions with architects and technical teams
• Produce high-quality artifacts (BRDs, FSDs, process flows, data mappings, etc.)
• Provide clarification and support to QA and delivery teams throughout SDLC
• Proactively surface risks, gaps, and conflicting requirements
• Operate effectively in fast-paced, evolving project environments

Required Experience

• 8-10+ years as a BSA in large enterprise environments
• Strong experience with data mapping and system integrations
• Experience working in banking or financial services
• Solid understanding of APIs and modern system architectures
• Ability to analyze how data moves across systems end-to-end
• Strong stakeholder management and facilitation skills
• Comfortable working in ambiguity and changing priorities
• Excellent communication and articulation skills

Preferred Experience

• Business Banking or Payments domain knowledge
• Exposure to AML or regulatory initiatives
• Experience in multi-application ecosystems
• Jira and Confluence experience
• Big 5 bank experience
