Senior Business Intelligence (BI) Analyst to design and build data models and develop reporting solutions for Oil and Gas data in Power BI

Our client is seeking a Senior Business Intelligence (BI) Analyst to design and build data models and develop reporting solutions for Oil and Gas data in Power BI

Hybrid work requirement - 3 days per week in office in downtown Calgary

Must Have:

• 8+ years Business Intelligence Analyst experience working on reporting projects from gathering requirements to developing reporting solutions.
• 3+ years of Data Analysis in Power BI
• Hands on experience in designing, developing and testing data models
• Experience with Power BI, Power Apps and Power Automate
• Strong excel skills
• Hands-on experience creating dashboards used to perform what-if analysis
• SQL proficiency for Power Query

Nice to have:

• Oil and Gas experience

Responsibilities:

• Develop and maintain reporting standards.
• Engage with stakeholders to gather, document, and translate business requirements into reporting essentials.
• Active engagement in the development of data solutions to address real-life
• Creating and augmenting data models; participate in the design, development, training, and testing of models.
• Team member in developing the end-to-end development cycle of Power BI reports.
• Provide operational support for Power BI, Power Automate, Power Apps
• Continually enhance the usability and performance of the Power stack used in the organization.
• Create and expand solutions utilizing other Power Platform tools, like Power Automate and Power Apps
• Facilitate business user acceptance.
• Train, and educate end-users on the reporting and capabilities of various applications.
• Participate and ownership of day-to-day operational tasks and projects.
