Our financial services client is seeking a Senior Business Analyst (10+ years) to deliver investment system enhancements and data-driven insights within capital markets platforms

Contract, Toronto, Hybrid

Must Haves

• Minimum 3-5 years in business analysis supporting investment applications and portfolio servicing platforms
• Hands-on delivery of changes to Calypso, CRD, SimCorp, Bloomberg, or Aladdin systems
• Advanced experience with SQL, Power BI, Azure DevOps, and Visio for complex data analysis and reporting
• Strong understanding of investment lifecycles for exchange-traded and OTC products including derivative instruments
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics, Accounting, Finance, or Economics

Nice to Have

• CPA or CFA designation or enrolment
• Professional certifications in Business Analysis, Change Management, Process Improvement, Quality Assurance, or Project Management
• Experience with automation or workflow optimization within investment operations

Responsibilities

• Work on 5-6 enhancements at a time
• Lead and participate in projects related to portfolio servicing platforms across trade processing, pricing, valuations, and investment accounting
• Manage business requirements, interface design, testing, documentation, and data reconciliation activities
• Collaborate with internal partners to define scope, objectives, deliverables, and timelines for system enhancements
• Design and develop investment reporting and dashboards using SQL and BI tools
• Support system integrations, troubleshoot functional issues, and ensure data accuracy and platform stability
• Partner with technology teams to implement upgrades, patches, and configuration changes
• Develop support documentation, including troubleshooting guides and training materials for end users
