Our valued public sector client is hiring a Senior Business Analyst to support a SharePoint migration by translating business needs into clear requirements, migration plans, and adoption‑ready solutions within a complex enterprise environment.

Background:

An enterprise digital workplace modernization initiative is underway to migrate legacy SharePoint on‑premises environments to SharePoint Online. The goal of the project is to improve collaboration, governance, service management, and long‑term sustainability of information management platforms. The Business Analyst will work closely with stakeholders, technical teams, and project leadership to ensure business processes, information structures, and user requirements are fully understood and addressed throughout the migration lifecycle.

Tasks:

• Elicit, analyze, and document business and functional requirements related to SharePoint content, workflows, permissions, and integrations.
• Assess existing SharePoint on‑premises environments and business processes to identify migration impacts, risks, dependencies, and improvement opportunities.
• Develop and maintain requirements documentation, business process models, data mappings, and migration decision artifacts.
• Act as a liaison between technical teams, project management, and business stakeholders to ensure alignment and traceability.
• Support change impact assessments by identifying how migrated solutions affect users, teams, and operational processes.
• Assist with validation and acceptance activities, including user acceptance testing support, issue triage, and post‑migration verification.
