Our client is seeking a Senior Business Analyst to develop intake technology business cases for IT and OT projects within the power and utilities sector

This role supports end-to-end business case development through stakeholder engagement, requirements gathering, financial analysis, and project status tracking. You’ll play a critical role in ensuring clear alignment between business needs and technology investment decisions across multiple strategic projects.

This contract requires you to be in Calgary or Edm or occasional meetings

Must Haves

• 10+ years of experience in business analysis and technology intake within energy & utilities projects
• Proven ability to lead stakeholder interviews and requirements gathering sessions
• Demonstrated expertise in business case development and financial analysis for IT/OT initiatives
• Experience managing project tracking and stakeholder engagement reviews
• Post-secondary education in Business, Engineering, Finance, or related field

Nice to Have

• Background in power generation or utilities operations
• Exposure to technology project intake processes within regulated industries

Responsibilities

• Conduct stakeholder interviews and manage engagement throughout project intake
• Gather, validate, and document business and functional requirements
• Prepare detailed business cases for IT and OT technology projects
• Perform financial analysis to support investment decisions
• Track project status and facilitate stakeholder review meetings
• Coordinate intake documentation and approvals across business units
