Our client is seeking a Senior Business Analyst specializing in process mapping, process design and data cleansing for an Oracle billing solution.

Position Overview:

We are seeking a highly skilled and enthusiastic Certified Business Analyst to join a major utilities program that will replace the legacy tariff billing system with a new SaaS offering of Oracle Utilities Customer Care & Billing (CC&B) and Meter Data Management (MDM). The successful candidate will play a key role in business process design, data cleansing, testing, and change management workstreams for a project that will last between 24 and 36 months.

Location:

The position is based in Edmonton, Alberta. The successful candidate will be expected to work on-site 3-4 days per week.

Must-Haves:

• 7+ years of experience in a business analyst with demonstrated project experience in billing system implementations such as OUCCS
• Business Analyst certification required (preference for IIBA designations).
• Strong process modeling skills with software such as iGraphx, Visio, etc.
• Lead and participate in business requirement workshops
• Experience analyzing data cleansing reports and leading data cleanup efforts
• Proficient MS Office tools including Microsoft Teams and SharePoint.
• Intermediate to strong skills using Jira.

Nice-to-Haves:

• Utilities experience
• Bachelor’s degree in Business, Finance, or Business Analytics.
• Broad knowledge of Customer Care and Billing processes from an end-to-end perspective, and familiarity with utility business processes and systems.
• Experience with Power BI and dashboard development.

Responsibilities:

• Participate in design sessions with the systems integrator to validate business processes
• Analyze, validate and align business processes and decisions deemed common between the Distribution Utilities (Gas and Electric), escalating as required to the Program Manager
• Analyze data cleansing reports and work with the Program Business Leads to prioritize and facilitate data cleanup activities with the responsible work groups, as required
• Validate test scenarios and provide input into test management plans and test scenarios, as required
• Assist with activities related to Requirements Traceability Matrix, as required
• Assist the Change Management Lead with various activities related to Program start-up (e.g., KPI/metric development, dashboard planning, mapping, etc.)
• Work with change management workstream to identify, quantify, and report on the impact of business process changes on roles and responsibilities of end business users
• Assist the training workstream by contributing insights from business process design into training plans and materials
• Assist in the creation of new project documentation (ie. Decision documents, process maps etc.)
