Our financial services client is seeking a Senior Identity Engineer (Contract, 10+ years) to enhance automation and customization in Active Directory and Active Roles Server (ARS)

Join a highly skilled engineering team delivering enterprise-scale identity solutions within a large financial institution. This role focuses on PowerShell automation, ARS rule development, and optimization of directory workflows. The position offers hands-on exposure to complex enterprise environments and the opportunity to deepen expertise in identity governance across hybrid infrastructure.

Contract, Toronto, Hybrid Duration: 6 months

Remote/Hybrid: Hybrid - every Tuesday & 1 Friday per month

Office Location: 81 Bay Street

Must Haves

• 10+ years in identity engineering and Active Directory environments
• Advanced PowerShell scripting for automation and directory management
• Experience with Active Roles Server (ARS) customization and rule development
• Strong understanding of workflows, rules, and automation logic for directory objects
• Experience supporting domain controllers, DNS, and GPO configurations

Nice to Have

• Experience in large-scale or regulated financial environments
• Exposure to hybrid identity infrastructure
• Background in infrastructure support including SQL knowledge

Responsibilities

• Develop and optimize PowerShell scripts for directory automation
• Customize and maintain Active Roles Server (ARS) workflows and business logic
• Enhance Active Directory object management and operational rules
• Support and improve helpdesk tooling for AD administration
• Collaborate with internal teams and vendors to resolve configuration issues
• Update and maintain policies and governance rules within ARS
• Provide SME-level engineering support to sustain directory reliability
