Our client is seeking a Senior Azure Data Architect to design a modern data environment in Azure with SQL & Python experience to assess current state, design and build future state for an on-prem to cloud initiative

This role requires you to be onsite at Airdrie office 3 days/week (Tues-Thurs onsite, Mon/Friday remote)

Must haves:

• 7+ years experience as an Azure Data/Cloud Architect/Engineer with on-prem to cloud experience
• Azure Data Factory, Azure Synapse, Azure Data Lake
• Modern Data Architecture from on-prem to Azure Data Lake, Cosmos, Big Data, NoSQL
• Data Warehouse & Data Lake and implementation
• Documentation focused to create ERDs, Data Flow Diagrams, Data Models of current and future state
• Budget and cost estimated to assist leadership in budget planning activities
• Data Pipelines from Azure to cloud based systems
• Implementation of Master Data Management Programs and Data Governance
• 7+ years experience with SQL (T-SQL, SSIS)
• 5+ years’ experience in Master Data Management
• 5+ years’ experience in ERP transformations
• Must have Python scripting and API experience

Ideal candidate:

• This role will also serve as a subject matter expert in Master Data Management (MDM), responsible for designing an MDM platform to support the ERP Transformation Project.
• As a key player in the ERP Project, the Senior Azure Data Architect will represent all data-related aspects, assisting in the modernization of the ongoing ERP initiative.
