Senior Application/Software Architect to support s Secret Cloud Optimization initiative (OpenStack)

Our valued Public Sector Client is seeking a Senior Application/Software Architect to support a Secret Cloud Optimization initiative.

Responsibilities:

• Research, design, and develop cloud technical architectures, including hybrid and private cloud environments
• Define and refine policies, standards, and requirements to support secure and scalable cloud solutions
• Analyze and evaluate cloud technology options, including public cloud and OpenStack-based private cloud platforms
• Lead the integration of all components of cloud technology solutions across infrastructure, platform, and application layers
• Provide architectural guidance on secure cloud adoption within a classified (Secret) environment
• Collaborate with stakeholders to ensure alignment between business requirements and technical solutions

Must Have:

• Degree or diploma in IM/IT or a related discipline
• One of the following certifications (or equivalent):
• AWS Certified DevOps Engineer
• Azure DevOps Engineer Expert
• Google Professional Cloud DevOps Engineer
• Minimum 2+ years of experience with cloud-based applications and platforms
• Demonstrated experience with OpenStack (architecture, deployment, or operations within private cloud environments)
• Active Secret Clearance

Nice to have:

• DevSecOps experience and secure CI/CD pipeline implementation
• Experience supporting DND/CAF or other Federal Government projects
• Security architecture and/or engineering experience in classified environments
• Experience with QualiWare or similar enterprise architecture tools
• Experience with hybrid cloud environments integrating public cloud (AWS/Azure/GCP) with OpenStack
