Our public sector client requires a Senior Application Software Architect (10+ years) to lead a major Microsoft Dynamics framework upgrade and prepare the environment for potential cloud migration.

The role involves simplifying business and technical processes, reducing infrastructure complexity, and leveraging out-of-the-box functionality to modernize legacy systems that no longer meet enterprise requirements. The successful candidate will design solutions, support integration efforts, and ensure alignment with enterprise architecture standards.

Must Haves:

• 5+ years’ experience in application architecture and solution design for large-scale IT transformation initiatives
• Hands-on experience with Microsoft Dynamics 365, Power Platform, Azure DevOps Services / Team Foundation Server, and ADX Studio / Portal frameworks
• Proficiency in Agile methodology, including participation in sprints, retrospectives, and reviews
• Proven experience integrating legacy systems with modern SaaS or portal-based solutions

Nice to Haves:

• Experience supporting public sector digital transformation or modernization programs
• Knowledge of cloud migration strategies for enterprise applications
• Familiarity with identity and access management (IAM) integration

Key Responsibilities and Deliverables:

• Design and deliver solutions for complex IT modernization projects, ensuring business and technical alignment
• Develop and document interfaces between new and existing systems, supporting migration of legacy applications to Power Platform
• Oversee system integration, access management, and interoperability across enterprise products
• Participate in Agile ceremonies and present technical solutions to business stakeholders
• Monitor industry and government technology trends, providing recommendations for modernization
• Prepare and maintain solution documentation, workflows, and technical briefs
• Deliver code packages, workflows, plug-ins, and integrations in support of the Dynamics upgrade
• Update DevOps user stories and design documentation, and provide knowledge transfer to internal teams
