SDET Automation Expert

Job Summary

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Senior Automation Engineer to lead and enhance our quality engineering efforts for Web, Mobile, and API platforms. The ideal candidate will possess strong automation skills, leadership capabilities, and the ability to work independently with cross-functional teams. Experience with CI/CD pipelines, leveraging AI-driven tools, and a proactive problem-solving mindset are key attributes. While domain expertise is not mandatory, familiarity with the banking sector will be a plus.

Key Responsibilities

• Automation Development & Execution:

• Design, develop, and maintain robust automation frameworks for:

• Web applications using Selenium and Playwright.

• Mobile applications using Appium with Java.

• API testing using Rest Assured and Postman.

• Leverage AI-driven tools and approaches to optimize testing processes and efficiency.

• Integrate automated testing into CI/CD pipelines, specifically using GitHub Actions.

• Quality Leadership:

• Lead functional Quality Engineering (QE) efforts independently and collaboratively with teams or squads.

• Act as a proactive problem solver by identifying and implementing solutions without waiting for instructions.

• Mentor and guide junior team members on best practices in automation and quality engineering.

• Testing & Reporting:

• Execute comprehensive test scenarios and scripts for Web, Mobile, and API platforms.

• Collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams to ensure high-quality deliverables.

• Plan, prioritize, and manage QA tasks, ensuring timely delivery of testing milestones.

• Communicate effectively with stakeholders and ensure clear reporting of testing progress and outcomes.

• Continuous Improvement:

• Stay updated with advancements in test automation, AI tools, and CI/CD workflows.

• Continuously enhance and optimize existing automation frameworks and processes.

Required Skills and Qualifications

• Minimum of 8+ years in Quality Engineering, with proven expertise in automation for Web, Mobile, and API platforms.

• Strong knowledge of Selenium WebDriver and Playwright for Web automation.

• Proficiency in Appium with Java for Mobile automation.

• Hands-on experience with Rest Assured and Postman for API testing.

• Experience in configuring and maintaining CI/CD pipelines using GitHub Actions.

• Practical knowledge of YAML workflows for automation triggers.

• Familiarity with AI-driven solutions and tools to enhance testing efficiency.

• Strong functional QE leadership skills, with the ability to plan and execute independently.

• Proactive mindset and ability to work in a fast-paced environment.

• Excellent communication skills to collaborate with technical and non-technical stakeholders.

• Ability to mentor and guide junior team members.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Familiarity with platforms like Perfecto, BrowserStack, or similar tools for cross-platform testing.

• Exposure to Agile/Scrum methodologies.

• Experience in working with large-scale enterprise applications.

• Knowledge of the banking domain is advantageous but not mandatory.
