Our public sector client is seeking a Senior Technical Architecture Specialist (10+ years) to develop Operational Technology (OT) Strategy and Architecture/Security Standards for SCADA systems.

This contract position supports the Process Control Systems Unit in creating and maintaining OT strategies and architecture standards across complex, security-sensitive SCADA environments. The role provides technical leadership on network design, cybersecurity posture, and infrastructure improvements supporting essential public health and environmental operations. Contract, Toronto, Onsite - Hybrid

Must Haves

• 10+ years in Security Enterprise design, configuration, implementation, and testing as an architect within infrastructure or technology environments
• Experience in Industrial Control Systems (ICS) within Water/Wastewater Treatment, manufacturing, or utility sectors
• CISSP, CCNP/CCIE Security or equivalent cybersecurity certifications
• Extensive experience developing IT/OT technical documentation and standards for Endpoints, Networks, Servers, Storage, Middleware, Applications, Databases, and Security
• Knowledge of ITIL Library, PASS55, ISO 27001 & 27002, and NIST Cyber Security Framework; university degree in Computer Science or equivalent asset

Nice to Have

• Experience within municipal or public utility environments
• Exposure to enterprise data centre infrastructure and distributed systems
• Knowledge of project budget preparation and business case development
• Familiarity with OT network segregation and critical infrastructure documentation

Responsibilities

• Develop Operational Technology strategies and architecture/security standards for SCADA environments
• Create architecture diagrams and artifacts to manage OT security and infrastructure
• Define business and technical requirements supporting system and network design
• Develop OT network segregation structures and provide recommendations for operations improvements
• Document design and architecture best practices for division-wide adoption
• Prepare budgetary figures and business case analyses for OT system enhancements
• Design and implement cybersecurity measures protecting critical ICS infrastructure
