S.i. Systems statutory corporation client is seeking a Hybrid - Senior Technical QA Lead to oversee all testing for multi-year system transformation (Java, AWS), write automated test cases, automated testing (Selenium)

Local in Vancouver preferred, also open to REMOTE in Canada

Client is based in Vancouver; team is globally dispersed.

1 year contract + extensions for multi year project

Full time hours (37.5 hour work week)

MUST HAVE SKILLS:

• Experience as a QA Lead on a multi-year SDLC build project (Java, AWS, SQL, REST)
• Experience with multiple enterprise clients
• Experience writing automated test cases (Selenium, Robot)
• Agile experience working with a large team (30+, scrum of scrums)
• Experience planning out testing for a multi-year program, including:
• Automated testing
• Manual
• Performance and/or reliability testing
• White box testing

JOB DESCRIPTION:

The client has two semi-redundant and highly critical systems that are being merged and modernized into one new program. It is highly critical to the business with many tricky components. They are seeking a QA Lead who will:

• Dive into the architecture to learn all about it
• Understand the workflows, and the business rationale behind them
• Be proactive about identifying risks and bugs.
• Be extra conscious about developing test plans for the tricky components
• Typical QA Lead tasks:
• Take direction from the QA Manager
• Develop test plans
• Advise when to use each type of unique testing, when it is appropriate to the application and project
• Liaise with many stakeholders
• Adapt to their organizations processes
