Our reputable client in Vancouver is looking for a REMOTE - Intermediate JIRA Admin skills to implement JIRA work package management into the company's project management tool set. (18-month long) - BC # 7809


Note: A successful candidate will be working on site in North Vancouver for 10 days for onboarding, and then remote after that

18-month long contract - ASAP START

Must have been living in Canada continuously for last 5 years - and therefore eligible to get Reliability Clearance

Must be a Canadian citizen or have PR


Role: The person will be responsible for developing progress-monitoring reports and supporting integration with interfacing tools such as PLM (Aras Innovator


Must Have:

  • Post-secondary education (Diploma or Degree) in a relevant field
  • 3-5+ years' hands-on experience with JIRA implementation and administration (NOTE - you don't need to be a JIRA admin or a developer - this is ideal for a project coordinator or QA who has developed JIRA workflows)
  • Proven ability to design and develop workflows within a work package management environment, including for remote teams.
  • Experience building customized reporting dashboards for diverse stakeholder groups.
  • Have been living in Canada continuously for last 5 years AND have Canadian citizenship / PR (for Reliability Clearance)


Nice to Have:

  • Experience developing custom scripts or using REST APIs.
  • Familiarity with project management principles or tools.
  • Experience creating JIRA plugins.
  • Exposure to complex engineering projects or shipbuilding environments.


Duties:

  • Develop and optimize business processes for the use of JIRA work package management in conjunction with existing project management tools.
  • Design and implement customized JIRA environments for various projects at VSY.
  • Create and maintain project templates suitable for a range of project sizes.
  • Manage the complete JIRA/Atlassian toolchain and associated add-ons.
  • Build and maintain multiple reporting dashboards and filters to support a variety of stakeholders.
  • Develop technical documentation and training materials; deliver training to end users.
  • Monitor the performance and adoption of JIRA across VSY and sub-contractor organizations.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to ensure process alignment and accurate reporting.
