QE Automation Lead

Key Responsibilities

• Lead the quality engineering strategy for a new digital product
• Build automation frameworks from scratch with strong ownership of approach, tooling, and best practices.
• Develop and maintain automation suites primarily for web and API layers
• Collaborate closely with engineering, product, and architecture teams to define quality standards and ensure end‑to‑end test coverage.
• Build scalable frameworks for validating portfolio ingestion, smart offer mapping, business rules, and matching logic.
• Partner with developers on continuous integration, automation pipelines, and test execution optimization.
• Mentor and guide one additional QE on the team; act as the senior technical authority within Quality Engineering.
• Contribute to architecture discussions and ensure testability across components and services.
• Drive quality metrics, reporting, and ongoing improvements to accelerate release cycles.

Required Skills & Experience

• 7+ years of software testing experience with strong expertise in QA automation.
• Proven track record building automation strategy and frameworks from scratch.
• Strong technical skills in:
• Java (core language for automation)
• Selenium WebDriver (web automation)
• Rest Assured (API automation)
• Experience testing complex backend workflows, offers engines, rules engines, or portfolio‑based systems is an asset.
• Ability to think strategically while remaining hands‑on with automation execution.
• Strong problem-solving skills, able to design solutions for new and undefined workflows.
• Experience in banking, financial services, or regulated industries preferred.
