Project Manager with AMI / SAP Project Manager to be responsible for leading the deployment, configuration, and maintenance of Advanced Metering Infrastruc

12-month contract

Hybrid role: 1 day in office per week in Oakville

Our client is currently seeking an AMI / SAP Project Manager to be responsible for leading the deployment, configuration, and maintenance of Advanced Metering Infrastructure (AMI) within an SAP or S/4HANA environment.

Key Responsibilities

Project Lifecycle Management: Lead end-to-end deployment of AMI systems, from initiation and planning to execution, monitoring, and go-live.

SAP Integration: Manage the integration of smart meter data ingestion, validation, and exception handling with SAP IS-U/S/4HANA modules (Device Management, Billing, FI-CA).

Scope & Budget Control: Oversee project budgets, resources, and schedules to ensure on-time and on-budget delivery, managing P&L and forecasting.

Vendor & Stakeholder Management: Serve as the primary contact for customers and manage third-party vendors, contractors, and internal IT teams.

Risk Mitigation: Proactively identify project risks, issues, and technical bottlenecks, implementing solutions to keep projects on track.

Change Management: Manage the transition from legacy systems to new AMI/SAP technologies, guiding teams through organizational changes.

Required Qualifications & Skills

Experience: 5-7+ years of experience in IT/technical project management, with at least 3 years in utility information systems, AMI, or SCADA systems.

SAP Knowledge: Strong understanding of SAP IS-U and S/4HANA for Utilities.

Technical Familiarity: Knowledge of smart meter technology, data validation, and high-volume data ingestion.

Key Performance Indicators (KPIs)

System uptime and reliability of AMI ingestion.

Timely completion of project milestones (e.g., Go-Live date).

Adherence to budget and cost forecasts.

Data quality and accuracy of smart meter readings in SAP
