Our crown corporation client is seeking a Manager of End User Platforms.


This is a permanent full-time role. 2 days/week onsite in North Vancouver. Offered salary range: $120K~$145K plus benefits.


Requirements:

  • 5+ years of experience in IT Operations.
  • 3+ years in a leadership or team management role.
  • Proven experience in managing enterprise-scale end user platforms, including Voice, Messaging, and Virtual Desktop environments.
  • Strong leadership and mentoring skills with a collaborative and inclusive approach.
  • Strategic thinker with the ability to translate vision into actionable plans.
  • Excellent communication skills, capable of engaging both technical teams and business partners.
  • Technical depth to understand platform architecture and troubleshoot issues when required.

Preferred Skills:

  • Experience with cloud migration strategies and technologies is highly desirable.
  • Familiarity with systems such as Cisco Voice Call Management, Exchange, and Citrix .


Description:

Reporting to the Sr Manager, End User Productivity, this role oversees a diverse range of complex technologies that directly support critical collaboration services for all our end users across the organization.

The End User Platforms team designs, builds, and maintains the technology infrastructure behind the organization's voice, messaging and virtual desktop platforms. This role is pivotal in guiding transition of these technologies to cloud-based solutions while ensuring operational excellence and alignment to the strategy in truly enabling a digital workplace for our employees.

Key Responsibilities:

You are a self-motivated, confident and results-oriented professional with demonstrated success managing and continually improving a complex IT operation to deliver outstanding employee-focused services and solutions.

  • Shape and provide strategic direction for the End User Platform services that align with our organizational goals, supported by business cases and technology roadmaps.
  • Lead and mentor a team of highly technical professionals in a collaborative, high paced environment, nurturing their career development.
  • Identify and oversee the delivery of operational improvements, leveraging change management principles to guide the team in navigating through challenges and opportunities.
  • Collaborate with our advisors, partners and vendors in the planning, design, and delivery of IT projects and initiatives on time and on budget.
  • Drive the evolution of legacy platforms toward modern, cloud-based technologies.
  • Oversee strategic relationships with vendors, ensuring our external partners consistently deliver value in alignment with objectives. Provide direction for contract negotiations and manage procurement activities to support our business needs.
  • Demonstrate a strong grasp of emerging technologies and the potential they offer business and technical operations. Working knowledge of Cloud computing, IT Infrastructure, Cybersecurity and DevOps is considered a valuable asset.
  • Deep dive into technical challenges when needed, offering insight and guidance to resolve complex issues.
  • Foster a culture of innovation, accountability, and continuous improvement.
