Duration: 6 months (possibility of extension)

Location: Hybrid - Markham (3 days a week)


Aviva Canada’s Learning and Development team is seeking a detailed and dynamic Learning Coordinator to support & assist in a series of leadership Training Programs. The successful candidate will report to the Senior Manager Learning & Development, and will provide expert guidance on events, budgeting, and logistical planning to ensure seamless execution. The ideal candidate will excel at balancing multiple learning programs simultaneously and delivering high-quality learning events that align with organizational goals.


Responsibilities:

  • Managing delegate registration platforms including LMS, Kiosk etc.
  • Co-ordinating travel and accommodation
  • Managing all delegate joining instructions
  • Managing onsite event logistics
  • Leverage relationships with all the key functions
  • Deliver all events in a cost-effective manner and continually seek to achieve cost savings
  • Registration signs up through learning management system
  • Session coordination and set up
  • Post-event feedback is considered with the planning of future events
  • Reporting and Data
  • In class set up and virtual technical Teams support during session
  • Leverage relationships with all the key functions to support event delivery both Canada and the UK partners
  • Collaborate with external vendors (Food, hotel, transportation) and work alongside procured suppliers to deliver the event


Required Skills:

  • Minimum 3+ years in event planning, project management or related roles
  • Proactive individual who thrives in a fast-paced environment and is committed to delivering exceptional event experiences
  • Strong relationship building with internal partners and vendors
  • The ability to react quickly and be flexible to changing demands
  • Proficiency in event management software and digital communication tools
  • The ability to multi-task, managing several programs at a time, knowing how to prioritize and manage time effectively
  • The ability to identify risks to event delivery and able to alert stakeholders to these
  • Post secondary education in or equivalent experience in event management, marketing, communications, learning and development
